The Japanese have 3 ways of writing -
Hiragana - Katakana - Kanji
Hiragana is the basic Japanese syllabary, Katakana is the syllabary for borrowed
words, ie - rajio (radio) uiski (whiskey) and Kanji are the pictograms.
I try to use the time I grind my inks to meditate and prepare to paint.
I relax and know that my first brush stroke will be perfect.
